The comfiest workout shoes I've ever tested are at their lowest-ever price in Amazon's Big Spring Sale
Comfort, support and stability—the Puma Fuse 2.0 is a great training shoe, especially at this price
I test workout shoes for a living, and of all the high-tech gym shoes I've worn one pair stands out above the rest for comfort: the Puma Fuse 2.0.
This just happens to be one of the most affordable cross training shoes on the market—and you can currently pick a pair up for as little as $47.80 in Amazon's Big Spring Sale.
Prices vary depending on the size and style you go for (men's sizes start at $58.06). I've been broadly unimpressed by Amazon's top fitness deals during this sale event, but I think this is a genuinely great deal.
Puma Fuse 2.0: was $100, now $47.80 at Amazon
Save up to $52.20 The Puma Fuse 2.0 is a brilliant, affordable option for gym-goers who have a varied training routine. The wide forefoot makes it a good fit for lifting, the springy midsole is a delight during cardio workouts, and it’s second-to-none on the comfort front. Some models are currently less than half-price on Amazon, although prices vary across sizes and styles.
The Puma Fuse 2.0 is brilliantly versatile. It balances a springy midsole for support with a wide forefoot for stability, making it a good fit for both energetic exercise classes and lifting weights alike.
But the stand-out feature is its super-soft upper, which instantly cradled my foot and felt incredibly comfortable from the first wear. The padded heel locked my foot in place to prevent any unwanted movement or rubbing, and the breathable material kept my feet cool during fast-paced workouts.
Of course, any shoe has its flaws. The springy foam midsole compresses a little bit under the heaviest weights (squats and deadlifts at 220lb and above), and the fabric lining around the heel wore through within the first couple of months of owning it.
However, this latter factor has proved to be purely superficial, and one year on I still wear the shoe regularly for CrossFit training, dog walks, and even occasional games of padel.
So, if it's a comfortable, versatile, high-quality training shoe you're after, I recommend striking while the iron's hot and taking advantage of this Amazon Big Spring Sale offer while it lasts.
