If you're on the hunt for a waterproof walking shoe for the colder months, I've got you covered.

The Columbia Konos TRS Outdry Mid is reduced by 36% for the Prime Big Deal Days sale, a saving of nearly $50.

While I haven't tested this exact shoe, its low-rise sibling—the Konos TRS (also reduced by 42% for the Amazon Prime Sale)—is my top budget-friendly pick for my best walking shoe guide.

The Outdry denotes a waterproof upper, and the mid-rise collar offers more protection from wind, rain and anything else you might come across on the trail.

Prime Big Deal Days discounts are only available to Prime members, but you can get a 30-day free trial if you want to take advantage of a particular deal.

I like the Konos TRS because it's such a versatile shoe: it has structure and protection for rugged terrain, but enough cushioning and bounce to keep you comfortable on roads too. It's the sort of shoe that is perfect to wear on vacation, because it works for such a variety of activities.

With fall underway and winter coming into view, this is a great opportunity to get set for wet weather, especially since post-summer I’d expect to see sandals reduced and waterproof shoes at full price.

The RRP of the Outdry Mid is $30 higher than the standard Konos TRS, but still very affordable, coming in well under the $150 mark. With this discount on top, prices start at just over $80 (although you may have to dig through the various sizes and colorways to find your match).

What I like the most is that the Konos TRS doesn’t feel like a cheap shoe—it’s comfortable and proved to be durable for me.
