Brooks won me over in 2025, with the Glycerin Max and then the Glycerin 22 holding the top spot in my best walking shoe guide.
I always keep my ear to the ground for discounts on my favorites, but because Brooks makes such premium shoes, they are few and far between on the latest models.
But you’ll be pleased to hear you can currently get the Glycerin 22 for 36% off — another $5 off since the last time I covered this deal two weeks ago.
The discounts vary by size and colorway on Amazon, but if you flick through the available options, you might find exactly what you're looking for. Most shoes seem to be retailing at the $124 mark, with a few slashed further to $111 and even $105, as seen in the shoe above.
I never thought I’d find a shoe that I preferred to the Hoka Bondi 8, which was my favorite of 2024, but the Gylcerin 22 changed my mind.
I tested the Glycerin 21, and it was good, but I wasn’t blown away. The 22 is on another level entirely.
It is a shoe designed for road running, but don’t let that put you off if you plan to primarily use it for walking. It's my favorite for long walks, particularly over hard surfaces like asphalt.
It has excellent energy return, putting a literal spring in your step, and the cushioning is sublime. Soft, bouncy and well-stacked, it’s everything I look for in a comfortable walking shoe.
