I test walking shoes for a living and this pair is great if you have bunions—now 27% off at Zappos
I love these shoes because they have enough space for my wonky toes

I’ve always been a sucker for a comfy shoe (who isn’t?), but since I developed bunions it’s become even more important. Now, if I spend even one evening in heels, I pay for it for days, and the shoes I wear for long walks have to have enough room for both my bunions and the toe spacer I wear to correct them.
I test shoes every day for my guide to the best walking shoes, and since my toes began to drift, I've been even fussier about what does and doesn’t make the cut.
The Skechers Max Cushioning Arch Fit Areena Hands-Free Slip-In (what a mouthful) makes the grade and accommodates my wide feet marvelously.
Already affordable, with a retail price of $120, these comfy Skechers shoes are now 27% off at Zappos, bringing the price down to under $88.
The best discount applies to the grey/aqua colorway, but the white/mint also has 26% off, making it only a few cents dearer.
As well as being great for wide feet and bunions, this shoe is part of the Skechers’ Max Cushioning range, and it’s one of my favorites for cushioning and bounce.
Shock absorption is important when walking on harder surfaces like concrete and asphalt, and if you spend a lot of time on your feet, you'll appreciate it even more. The Max Cushioning range has great shock absorption and energy return, and you can really feel the spring in your step.
This pair also has a wide crash pad and arch support, which is great if you’re a little unstable on your feet. The slip-in design also means you don't have to bend down to put your shoes on, reducing fall risk.
