I was lucky enough to test the Hoka Clifton 10 earlier this year and was blown away by how comfortable it was underfoot.

I don’t often award the shoes I test for my walking shoe guide with the honor of five out of five stars, but this shoe deserves it. It is lightweight, yet well cushioned, well ventilated and ergonomically designed for maximum comfort and support.

I tested the Clifton 9, too, and the Clifton 10 improved even further on an already great design.

What's more, you can find some pairs reduced for Amazon’s annual Prime Big Deals Day sale, with discounts on certain sizes and styles.

These deals are only available to Prime members, but you can get a 30-day free trial if you’re not a member already.

Hoka Clifton 10: was $150 now $129.99 at Amazon

The Clifton 10 is a shoe that works well for everybody. The sole is supportive, without having so much stacking that you feel unstable, and the energy return you get with each step is noticeably higher than the Clifton 9 (although this might not be the fairest comparison, as my 9s are well worn).

The Clifton is a road running shoe that is versatile enough to be worn as a walking shoe as well.

If you work on your feet all day or need something comfortable to explore a new city, the Clifton nails the brief. The bouncy midsole will keep your feet happy even after hours of paved hills.

Long flight? You'll be comfortable in the air and also able to get straight to exploring once you arrive, without changing your footwear.
