The Black Friday exercise bike deals were huge last year, and 2021 is shaping up to be even better. Thanks to the pandemic-driven home fitness boom, great deals could be found everywhere, even if prices weren't as low as they had been due to the unprecedented demand.

Along with the Black Friday treadmill deals and Black Friday rowing machine deals, home fitness kit absolutely exploded. Now the demand has calmed a little as gyms reopen and vaccination programmes mean the world is reopening once again – which is sure to deflate prices as retailers seek to offload excess stock.

This means that there's actually never been a better time to buy one of the best exercise bikes, as retailers will likely be undercutting each other in an attempt to offload some fantastic models. Last year, we saw exercise bikes slashed by hundreds of dollars in the US, and the excellent DKN EB bike was knocked down by £700 at little-known fitness retailer Sweatband.

There's absolutely potential for the same (and even better) deals to come.

Black Friday 2021: Everything you need to know

This year, Black Friday falls on Friday November 26. We're expecting to see some great deals ramping up in the weeks before as retailers get in on the holiday action nice and early, so if you're hunting for a discounted exercise bike, be sure to check here for the latest news and deals in the run-up to the big day. If you're buying a bike for a loved one, this is the time to be hunting.

However, it's not just the preceding weeks you need to be thinking about: the deals will be lasting over the whole weekend, running into "Cyber Monday".

Initially an extra day of deals for retailers to offload excess Black Friday stock, Cyber Monday has grown into a Brobdingnagian day of deals all on its own. You're likely to find some of the very best deals creeping in at the very end of the day, as time runs out and online retailers slash prices as low as they dare in a bid to offload all those exercise bikes.

Why get an exercise bike?

With erratic weather - from too hot or cold to too wet and windy - posing a problem when it comes to riding outside, an exercise bike can be all you need to get in shape without braving the elements outdoors over the course of this winter.

You can ride while watching the TV, of course, but where's the fun in that? You can use apps like iFit or Peloton to take part in "virtual rides" with others around the globe, racing your friends and competitors and taking part in remote spin classes.

The key advantage of an exercise bike over a treadmill is that it's low-impact. You're not hitting the pavement or a tread, which means if you suffer from joint pain, or starting your workouts from the very beginning and are worried about placing too much stress on your ankles or knees, exercise bikes are perfect for you.
