I’m a fitness writer and some of my favorite Amazon Basics equipment is reduced up to 31% ahead of Prime Day—but it’s selling fast
Get some early Prime Day discounts while they're available

Amazon Basics is my favorite affordable brand for fitness equipment. It makes high-quality, budget-friendly gear that means you can build your home gym for less than the cost of a monthly membership at a boutique gym.
Amazon Prime Day is rapidly approaching, with the event officially starting on Tuesday July 8, but there are discounts going live already.
I've pulled together a list of the best discounts available right now below. They are all limited deals available to Prime members only (you can get a 30-day free trial if you’re not a member already), with between 18% and 50% already claimed at the time of writing.
It’s unlikely they will still be live come Prime Day proper, so it’s worth buying now if you see a deal on an item you’ve been considering.
These dumbbells boast a whopping 4.8 out of 5 star score from over 27,000 reviewers, so you know they won't let you down.
Need something a bit heavier? There is also 16% off the 12lb pair, also in a fetching shade of blue.
Not into weights? That's fine, there's plenty of other equipment on sale too, like this yoga mat with carry strap. All colors have the same discount, so you can a blue or black mat instead if that's your preference.
Usually, the heavier the weight, the more expensive it is, so this is a great opportunity to invest.
Too heavy for you? The 20lb is reduced by 26%and the 15lb is discounted to $18.30 as well.
If you've been looking for a way to incorporate high-intensity cardio into your fitness routine, may I introduce the jump rope. Increase your heart rate, impove your coordination and burn calories, all for under $5.
I love medicine balls: they're a simple, balanced way to add resistance to your workouts and can increase the challenge for moves like sit-ups. The grippy rubber coating means you won't drop it even with sweaty hands.
