Why get an exercise bike?

With erratic weather - from too hot or cold to too wet and windy - posing a problem when it comes to riding outside, an exercise bike can be all you need to get in shape without braving the elements outdoors over the course of this winter.

You can ride while watching the TV, of course, but where's the fun in that? You can use apps like iFit or Peloton to take part in "virtual rides" with others around the globe, racing your friends and competitors and taking part in remote spin classes.

The key advantage of an exercise bike over a treadmill is that it's low-impact. You're not hitting the pavement or a tread, which means if you suffer from joint pain, or starting your workouts from the very beginning and are worried about placing too much stress on your ankles or knees, exercise bikes are perfect for you.
