I’m a fitness writer who loves strength training but I struggle with weak wrists—this $20 product fixed that
And it’s 20% cheaper than usual with this early Amazon Prime Day deal

For years, I struggled to grip kettlebells because of my slick, sweaty palms, and my weak wrists left me unable to complete certain movements. But my discovery of fitness gloves changed that, and it’s not an overstatement to say they changed the course of my fitness journey.
As well as improving grip and providing support, fitness gloves protect your palms from calluses, too.
My exact pair (now very elderly) is discontinued, but you can get some almost identical gloves in the early Amazon Prime Day sale, with a 20% discount.
Amazon Prime Day officially starts tomorrow, Tuesday, July 8, but there are discounts going live already. Deals are available to Prime members only (but you can get a 30-day free trial to access these deals.
The built-in wrist straps set this style of glove apart from the competition and helps with two of the most common issues people have when lifting heavy weights—grip and weak wrists.
I initially purchased my gloves because I was fed up with the feeling of sore hands and wrists.
My hands are small and I find that the handles and horns of many kettlebells (particularly plastic ones) are too wide for me to grip securely.
This limited my progress, as I was always worried about dropping heavier kettlebells on my toes, or worse, when doing skull crushers—my face.
Plus, while the rest of my body is stronger and more muscular, my wrists remain the same size as they were when I was 12 years old. My pinky finger and thumb overlap when I wrap them around my wrist and the joints crack and pop even doing day-to-day tasks like brushing my teeth.
Once I started lifting heavier, it became clear that I needed a little extra support around this area.
The gloves have fixed both issues. My hands no longer ache from a lack of purchase on the bar, and my wrists feel secure when working out.
I can’t recommend them enough. For such a small amount of money, they made a big difference to me.
