We all have days when we don't want to work out — maybe you have a hectic schedule, you're drained after work, or you're having a bit of a motivational dip. But even on those days, some movement is better than no movement at all, especially if you focus on your core.

You don't have to train for hours (and hours) to build strength in your core muscles, boost your mobility, connect your upper and lower body, and improve your posture. All you need is five minutes, some floor space, and one of the best yoga mats for support.

And this quick five-minute weighted ab workout from YouTube duo TIFF x DAN is a testament to that. Featuring just six ab exercises and zero repeats, try taking on this swift core workout on the days you're short on time or lacking inspiration.

You'll do six different moves for 30 seconds each and have a 10-second rest between exercises. It's an intense training style, but it's still important to focus on your form, so practice your technique using Dan's demonstrations before you start.

Dan uses a medicine ball to add some resistance for an extra challenge, but if you don't have one to hand, you could do each move with a kettlebell or invest in some adjustable dumbbells instead, so you can gradually increase the weight as you get stronger.

Adding core strengthening exercises to your schedule comes with benefits. Building muscle around your midsection boosts your stability, promotes blood flow, and can improve your performance during full-body compound exercises

If you're looking to develop six-pack abs, you'll need to focus on more than just your workouts, as carving out a leaner, more taut stomach goes hand in hand with a good diet.

That's where some of the best protein powders for weight loss can help. Adding these supplements to your workouts, you can tick off your protein goals, stay fuller for longer, as well as helping repair your tired and achy muscles, especially if you blend them into a post-workout smoothie.

But you'll also need to focus your efforts on fat-burning workouts, like a HIIT workout for fat loss. It uses a similar technique to Tiff x Dan's routine, so you'll train intensely in short bursts with minimal rests to raise your heart rate, work your muscles, and boost your metabolism.
