I've tried a few protein powders over the years, but I always come back to one particular brand: Optimum Nutrition (ON). The powder blends into a rich, smooth shake and you can choose from a delicious line-up of flavors including Rocky Road, Cinammon Roll and Double Rich Chocolate
Deals on this protein powder are rare because the brand is so popular and the products are already good value, which is why this 33% discount on the Vanilla Ice Cream 2lb tub is a brilliant find. At just $27.99, it works out as just under $1 per serving.
It's already the best-selling protein powder on Amazon, so you'll have to move quickly to snap up a tub at this discounted price.
Optimum Nutrition vanilla ice cream 2lb tub: was $41.99, now $27.99 at Amazon
Save 33% If you want a protein powder that is easy to blend and tastes great, then you can't go wrong with any of the flavors from Optimum Nutrition. The brand basically never drops its prices, so take advantage of this deal while you can.
Why do I love this protein powder? The truth is a lot of protein powders are very similar, offering slight variations in the amount of protein, calories and fat per serving. Optimum Nutrition is pretty average, offering 24g of protein, 120 calories, 1.5g of fat and 4g of carbs.
What sets ON apart is the smooth consistency and flavor variety. My all-time favorite was Salted Caramel (sadly discontinued, RIP), but all of the variations I've tried have hit the spot. I currently have French Vanilla Crème on my shelf, but I've enjoyed toffee variations in the past too.
It's also always reasonably priced, which is why the company doesn't feel the need to offer discounts very often. If you don't fancy vanilla, you can get the Double Rich Chocolate for $27.99 instead.
