The true spirit of Black Friday! More than $1,000 off the Echelon Row-S, just $550!

This has to be the best deal I've seen this Black Friday/Cyber Monday weekend: the Echelon Row-S is down to $544.53 on Amazon. That’s more than $1,000 off the price Amazon lists ($1,599.99). What’s wilder is that Echelon lists the MSRP as $2,179.50—that’s an incredible saving of $1,634.97!

Fit&Well has reviewed the Echelon Smart Rower, an older model that doesn’t have a built-in screen, and still gave it four stars and placed it on our list of the best rowing machines. Fit&Well’s reviewer liked the foldable design, quiet magnetic resistance, and easy-to-change resistance.

Save $1,054.47 This affordable Hydrow and Peloton rival is now even cheaper thanks to a 66% Black Friday/Cyber Monday discount. The only thing that you need to consider before buying is that, like other connected rowing machines, you need to be prepared to pay a monthly subscription to the app. This gives you access to live and on-demand classes, which is the main attraction of this type of home cardio machine.

Echelon’s subscription is $39.99 a month (Hydrow’s is $44 a month), but that drops to $33.33 if you pay for a year upfront ($399.99.) Amazon’s deal includes a 30-day trial.

The Row-S has an overall rating of 4.3/5 stars on Amazon, over a total of 258 ratings. 69% of the reviewers gave it the full 5/5 stars and couldn't fault it, but several users gave it a lower rating due to the need to purchase the app in order to gain full access to the display. Customers also complained that it is heavy, but we noted that it was easy to assemble if you had two people on the job.

If you want to see your other options, you'll be pleased to know we've been monitoring all the deals since the start of November and collating them in this Black Friday rowing machine deals round-up.
